Please note –
We are in the process of developing and adding the new SIS40619 Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership course to scope. Once the new SIS40619 course is approved and on scope, we will add the new course information to the website and remove the old course (SIS40313).
Students who enrol in the old SIS40313 course in 2020 will be transitioned to the new SIS40619 course in 2021 at no cost. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
Depending on the specializations chosen, this qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in:
Guiding outdoor recreation activities in an uncontrolled environment
It requires technical knowledge of the outdoor recreation activity to be transferred to allow individuals to safely participate in the outdoor activity. It does not provide the skills and knowledge to impart the required level of technical knowledge and expertise to allow participants to independently undertake outdoor recreation activities. A guide operating in an uncontrolled environment has the skills, knowledge and experience that enable them to work independently within a variety of settings and contexts that may be complex and non-routine.
This course gives you the Nationally Recognised Qualification, and included (some outside charges may occur) is the opportunity to get the required licence for your chosen activity or activities. Why not combine a few of your passions and become highly sought after as an Instructor or Guide working in the exciting world of International travelers who want to experience the great activities on offer in Australia (for example diving on the Great Barrier Reef) or across the globe.
