English Courses

The key clients for this qualification are international students from non-English speaking countries who wish to undertake a non AQF award General English Course using the New English File material from 10 to 50 weeks tuition time. The entry point can be anywhere from “Elementary” to “Advanced” across the four macro skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Typically, these students may wish to improve their English quicker to move to a VET, or Higher Education Qualification upon completion. Some may wish to complete the course as a stand-alone course, but we expect those students to be in the minority.

The key clients for this course are international students from non-English speaking countries who wish to undertake a non AQF award IELTS Preparation Course with a view to entry into courses or institutions requiring an IELTS or similar score. The course will cover all aspects of the key components of the IELTS testing regime. The entry point will be in the “Elementary” to “Advanced” range across the four macro skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Typically, these students may wish to improve their familiarity with testing procedures and material, as well as strategies to improve scores.

Student’s IELTS band scores will be assessed at the beginning of the course. The program consists of three levels of IELTS preparation from beginner to advanced. Practice tests will be conducted weekly in all four macro skill areas and a final IELTS test will be conducted at the end of every 10-week period under typical IELTS testing conditions.

The key clients for this course are international students from non-English speaking countries who wish to undertake a non AQF award English Course with a view to being prepared for Higher Studies. As it includes an IELTS Preparation component, it will cover all aspects of the key components of what English skills are required to commence higher education, or further study. The entry point will be in the “Intermediate” to “Upper Intermediate” range across the four macro skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Typically, these students may wish to improve their English quicker to move to a Diploma or Advanced Diploma course in VET, or Higher Education Qualification upon completion. Some may wish to complete the course as a stand-alone course, but we expect those students to be in the minority.

The key clients for this course are people who wish to undertake a non AQF award Spoken and Written English course in an intensive manner.  The entry point can be anywhere from “Beginner” to “Intermediate” across the four macro skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. For learners with a mixed profile, it is possible for them to be enrolled across different levels.
